Preparing for a fall rainy season - Fort Worth, TX

7/29/2019 (Permalink)

With temperatures soaring towards 99 degrees this week, it’s hard to imagine that just a few months ago we were practically drowning with all the rain we were getting. What I wouldn’t give to be back at that spot! I love the rainy season, and I know a lot of us are praying for a little bit of rain to help beat the heat.

But it’s good to point out that with fall coming up, the rain will be coming soon. After all, fall is our second tornado season of the year. It’s important to make sure that your house is in tip top shape, in preparation for the fall and winter months to come. Here’s a handy checklist:

  • Clean out gutters and make sure they are in working order. Broken or clogged gutters can lead to overflow or worse and cause water damage to your home.
  • Ensure that flower beds are draining properly.
  • Check door seals and window seals to make sure that no water can get in from inside.
  • Make no shingles are damaged on the roof and replace the ones that are.

If you find yourself in the middle of a water damage caused by rain, give us a call today at 817.560.3086!
