Dishwasher Disaster in Grapevine, TX

This dishwasher decided to malfunction over the weekend causing water damage on two stories of this three story home. Our crews were onsite and extracting within the hour to prevent any further damage from being done.

Category 1 Water

Category 1 or “Clear Water” – This water comes from a source that’s clean, for example your water supply line broke on your refrigerator, flooding your kitchen. That would be considered clean water. It can also come from a sink or a tub that’s overflower. However, when it comes to clean water losses, it’s important to act as quickly as possible because not only can it bring mold and mildew but the longer it sits and mixes with dirt or other particles on the floor the faster it can degrade from a category 1 to a category 2.

Creating Plastic Barrier Walls

With water damage, the more air movement you can get on the affected area, the faster it dries. One way our team speeds up the drying process is by creating this barriers. This eliminates some of the shared space of an affected area, thus keeping the area that the air has to travel as small as possible. These plastic barriers just centralize the flow of air. Rather than the air having to run the length of the kitchen, it's just right around the counter.
